Our Second Haul-Out

Hauling your home out of the water is always a big event, and our second time taking Long Summer out of the water was no different.

We recently lifted her out at Didim Marina, where the dry dock is built to accommodate catamarans and super yachts. We were very impressed with their equipment, facilities and professional service, which made the whole process incredibly smooth. The lift was done under the watchful eye of the chief engineer, and the team even went above and beyond, sending a diver in to check that the placement of the straps were correctly positioned on the bulkheads (a crucial step that could otherwise compromise the integrity for the boat). 

Not only that, we were even graciously granted the first slot of the day… A coup when you have young kids in what can be a very long process!

After haul out, we had a few more days of hard work in the yard, but Long Summer is now all tucked up for the next few months. A big thanks to the team at Didim boat yard & our boat maintenance team, Modern Marine, for their 5 star service!
