Boat-versary #3
Three years of life afloat.
Three years since we took a risk to go our own way. To realise the dream and live boldly. To stride deep into the world and grab life with both hands. To be able to say, “we did it”, rather than wishing we had.
Three years of choosing experiences over stuff. Of embracing discomfort and showing up and persevering. Because there is magic in uncertainty. Nothing good worth having in this life comes easy, and a sailor’s life is nothing if but a lesson in humility.
But somehow it doesn’t feel wild or radical or bold. Because life is insultingly brief, and nothing would be scarier than taking no action at all.
They say that all the best adventures involve great challenges, and what an adventure it has been already!
